How to find Salvation in Jesus Christ
The Almighty God is one God in three Persons: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit (I John 5:7; John 1:1-3). Each has always been Almighty God. There is no other God nor ever will be (Gen 1:26; Isaiah 43:10; 44:24).
God created man. The first man Adam sinned (sin is disobedience to God). As a result of Adam’s sin, all Adam’s descendants are born with a sin nature (Romans 5:12). The Bible says all have sinned (Romans 3:23). Each of us has sinned. We have chosen to disobey God and go our own way (Isaiah 53:6). Even our thoughts are sinful (Mark 7:20-23).
Our sin has separated us from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). The good works that we do cannot change our sin nature nor erase our sin (Isaiah 64:6). Adam’s race is condemned. We are prisoners of sin.
Sinful man is estranged from God. Only a sinless man can reconcile us to God. God, therefore, became a man. God Almighty came to this earth in the form of flesh and blood so He could pay the penalty for our sin. Born of a virgin, and free from the sin of Adam’s race, the God-Man, Jesus Christ, shed His sinless blood on the cross to redeem us. He then arose from the grave bodily, for death had no control over Him (Isaiah 9:6; I Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14; I Peter 1:18,19; Acts 2:31; Romans 6:9).
Jesus came to free us from our spiritual prison (John 8:36). God came to this world to take away our sin and give us His righteousness as a free gift (II Corinthians 5:21; Romans 6:23). We cannot pay for sins; Jesus did that by Himself (Hebrews 1:1-3). We are saved by the grace and mercy of God. We are not saved by our works (Ephesians 2:8,9). Jesus alone is Saviour……no one else and nothing else can save (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
Do you want to be rescued from sin and leave your sinful life behind you? (Mark 8:35-36; John 12:25). You must be sorry for your sin and repent (Acts 17:30). Repentance is a willingness to turn from your own way to God’s way (Isaiah 55:6-9). You must believe (trust) in Jesus (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:12-13). You must believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Almighty God and that He died and rose from the dead for your sins (John 20:26-29).
Salvation is not a process. As you were born to your father and mother in a moment, so you can become a child of God in a moment by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (John 1:12; John 3:3).
Surrender the control of your life to Him today; submit to Him as your Lord and Master (Matthew 11:28-30).
